Rosneft purchases a share of Italian Enel in “SeverEnergia” for $1.8 bln.

“Rosneft” has agreed with Enel an acquisition of 40% in Arctic Russia B.V., which provide indirect ownership of 19.6% in “SeverEnergia” Ltd. Rosneft’s subsidiary “ITERA” is the acquirer of the shares. It is the centre of gas assets’ consolidation as part of “Rosneft”.
The deal will enable an increase of recoverable gas resources of Rosneft and create a steady platform for the further realization of the gas strategy of the company, aimed at the growth of gas production up to 100 billion cubic meters a year and turning Rosneft into the largest Russian independent gas producer.”.
