Decision on Far East LNG and Sakhalin-1 postponed for a year

The decision on the inclusion of the Far East LNG project into the production sharing agreement of Sakhalin-1 can be made in the middle of next year, the RIA Novosti reports. "The designated state agency considered the proposal on the inclusion of the plant construction project into PSA, the making of a decision on the proposal wasn’t supposed at this meeting, it will be further examined by experts," - a source familiar with the outcome of the meeting reported.

The term of the decision making may be adversely affected by Rosneft’s claim in the Commercial Court of the Sakhalin region to the operator of the project - the company Sakhalin Energy, he said.
