Belarus might save the payment of oil duties to the budget in full in 2016

In 2016 the situation with the distribution of duties for oil and oil products produced out of the Russian oil in Belarus will stay at the level of 2015, the Ambassador of Russia in Belarus, A. Surikov, said.

I think the protocol will be extended. The situation hasn’t changed. The situation with the return of oil duties is likely to be like in 2015, he said.

The Ambassador said that at the settlement of this issue it is necessary to take into account that from Jan 1st the Eurasia Economic Union started to work.

In 2015 the protocol of approval of the conditions of Russian oil supply to Belarus in 2012-2015 expires. It was signed 2 weeks prior to the launch of another stage of the Eurasia Economic Union.

Belarus has held a few preliminary rounds of negotiations on the conditions of Russian oil supply in the coming years. In 2016 Belarus might buy 23 mln tons of oil from Russia and the entire volume will be pumped via pipelines.
