Georgia increased the import of Azeri gas

In Jan-August 2015 Georgia imported 967.67 thousand tons of gas in oil equivalent for $201.76 mln, is said in the report on the results of Jan-August 2015.
In annual terms the volume of gas import from Azerbaijan to Georgia rose by 14.1% in monetary terms (in quantitative terms the supplies rose by 109.16 thousand tons in oil equivalent or 12.7%).
In Jan-August 2015 Georgia imported 858.52 thousand tons in oil equivalent or $176.77 mln.
The specific weight of gas in the total volume of import of Georgia from Azerbaijan in Jan-August 2015 made up 56.4%.
Azerbaijan is the main supplier of gas to Georgia with the specific weight of 77.1% from the total volume of import in this category. In Jan-August 2015 Georgia imported gas for $261.75 mln.
