The volume of oil extraction in Kazakhstan in 2015 is forecast at the level of 80.5 mln tons, by 0.4% less than in 2014, the Minister of Energy, V. Shkolnik, said.
“You know that oil price is quite low now, and so as to provide this extraction volume, it is necessary to take unprecedented measures on lowering of the prime cost, on expenditure cutting etc. The Ministry of Energy works on that”, Mr. Shkolnik added.
It was reported that in 2014 Kazakhstan produced 80.8 mln tons and oil and gas condensate, according to the Committee for Statistics of the Ministry of National Economy. This is by 1.2% less than in 2013.
