Rosneft successfully held 20-stage layer hydrofracturing at Samotlor deposit

​Rosneft has completed the pilot works on the drilling of a new horizontal well holding a 20-stage layer hydrofracturing at the Samotlor license site.

Rosneft reported that the pilot well was drilled within 23 days, the length of its horizontal site is 510 m, the distance between equal ports – 24 m.

The output of the drilled well is about 100 tons of oil a day.

The works on holding the multi-stage layer hydrofracturing were held by Rosneft’s affiliate –RN-GRP.

The project’s realization will allow to drill the edging areas where non-engaged into development reserves are located.

The drilling and development of reserves at these areas hasn’t been held until now due to their low efficiency.
