Severstal-Vtorchermet to increase scrap iron collection and processing by 150 thousand tons per year

In 2013, Severstal-Vtorchermet (a part of the division Severstal Russian Steel) will mount press shear at the stage in St. Petersburg, the Severstal’s press centre reported. The new equipment will allow it to increase the scrap iron collection and processing by 150 thousand tons per year and save up to 20% from a car on the railway tariff.

Severstal-Vtorchermet will supply the main volume of scrap iron supplies from the stage in St. Petersburg to its key client – the Cherepovets metallurgic plant (which is also a part of the division Severstal Russian Steel), mainly by railway.
