LUKOIL sets a world record in horizontal wells drilling

“LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft” LLC set a world record during the drilling of the well No108 at an offshore ice-resistant fixed platform of the deposit named after Y.Korchagin on the Caspian Sea (4 908 meters for 1 run of a drilling bit in the section 9½ inches without round-trip).
The record has been confirmed by the world data base Schlumberger/Smith Bits.
