Seadrill considers completion of the deal with Rosneft to be difficult to realize
The Norwegian drilling company Seadrill considers the completion of the deal with Rosneft on the purchase of a stake in North Atlantic Drilling (NADL) by Rosneft to be difficult to realize, Seadrill reports.
“Due to the recent events, it is difficult to complete the deal on the same conditions or terms stipulated in the signed agreements. Evidently, there are serious risks on the realization of drilling works for $4.1 bln. Nevertheless the parties keep negotiating and study various variants of further cooperation”, the company said.
In November 2014 the completion of the deal on the purchase of a stake in the Norway drilling company North Atlantic Drilling from its head company Seadrill by Rosneft was postponed until the end of May 2015.
