RD KMG increased net profit by 5.2 times to 244 bln tenge in 2015

The growth of net profit in 2015 was mainly due to the devaluation of tenge in 2015, full writing off of assets of Ozenmunaigas in 2014 and tax reduction, except income tax, and that covered the revenue fall due to the oil price fall.

RD KMG in 2015 made a net profit of 244 bln tenge ($1.096 bln) against a net profit of 47 bln tenge ($263 mln) in 2014.

On August 20th 2015 the Government and the National Bank of Kazakhstan made a decision on turning to the free exchange rate of tenge. After that the tenge/dollar rate fell by almost twice within 6 months and as of February 25th it made up 349 tenge/$.

In 2015 the company made revenue of 449 bln tenge ($2.020 bln) from the exchange rate as at the moment of the tenge devaluation over 93% of monetary funds were denominated in foreign currency.

The revenue of RD KMG in 2015 amounted to 530 bln tenge ($2.384 bln), by 37% lower than in 2014.
