British Centrica signed a contract with American Cheniere Energy for delivery of 1.75 million tons of gas per year, the company reported. The agreement is signed for 20 years, the deliveries will start in 2018. Gas will be delivered to GB from LNG terminal Sabine Pass in Louisiana, RBC daily reports.
This is the fourth contract British companies sign with American suppliers. The first one was signed in autumn 2011 by British BG Group for 3.5 million tons per year for 20 years, the second – in January 2012 by BG Gulf Coast LNG (the subsidiary of BG Group) for 2 million tons per year.
