In 2013, Gazprom’s share on domestic gas market decreased to 72% from 73.1% in 2012, the company reports.

On Wednesday, the Gazprom’s Board of Directors took information about competitive struggle on the domestic market into consideration.

“In 2013, the Gazprom’s share in the total volume of gas, which is supplied to the domestic market, made up 72%; the share of independent gas producers – 28%. At the same time, wholesale prices of gas, which is sold by Gazprom, are set by the state, while other participants of the market sell gas at free prices,” – the report says.
