5 bln roubles to be spent for geological exploration in Tyumen region in 2015

​In 2015 the expenditure for geological exploration in the Tyumen region will amount to about 5 bln roubles. It is planned to discover 2 new deposits.

The head of the subsoil use department and fuel and energy sector of the regional department of subsoil use and ecology, A. Klimovich, said that further development of the oil and gas extraction sector of the region is connected with the development of new sites. “Until 2020 Rosneft OJSC plans to put into operation 11 new deposits that will allow the company to keep the annual extraction volumes at the level of 10 mln tons. For 2016 the putting into operation of the South-Nyurymsky deposit is planned, Surgutneftegas develops it. It will allow to increase oil extraction by 700 thousand tons a year”, Mr. Klimovich said.
