Gazprom threatens gas cut to Moldova

JSC “Moldova-gas” has applied to the National agency for Energy regulation in the country with the request to increase gas tariff for final consumers by 48% - up to 8 386 leu (25.9 thousand roubles or $448) per 1 thousand cubic meters. IA REGNUM reports, the spokesmen for “Moldova-gaz” reasons their requirements by the devaluation of the national currency in relation to dollar, and an increase of losses of the company and increase of the debt to Gazprom.
