Gazprom agreed on gas price reduction from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in 2015
In 2015 Gazprom agreed on the reduction of gas price from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
Gazprom says that in 2015 the volume of Turkmen gas purchase significantly fell.
The deputy chairman of Gazprom, A. Medvedev, said in January that Gazprom had to file a claim to the Arbitration Court because it hadn’t seen the intention of Turkmenistan to come to a mutually beneficial decision.
“Gazprom export” notified Turkmengas on the termination of Turkmen gas purchase from January 1st 2016. Simultaneously Gazprom increased gas purchase from Uzbekistan from January 1st 2016.
The agreement on the growth of purchase of Uzbek gas was reached in late December 2015.
The purchase of Uzbek gas in 2016 might exceed 3.1 bln cubic m which was purchased in 2015 from Turkmenistan.
