Novatek doesn’t agree with indexation of gas transportation tariff

Novatek gas found unjustified indexation of tariffs for gas transportation, proposed by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), and considers it necessary to disclose the principles of the formation of the tariffs for natural monopolies, said the company’s spokesman.

According to the draft order of the FAS, from July 1, 2016, the tariff for gas transportation via main pipelines to consumers within the territory of Russia and the countries - participants of the Customs Union must be increased to 13.3 rubles per 1 thousand cubic meters of gas per 100 kilometers (VAT excluded); to customers outside the territory of the Russian Federation and the countries - participants of the Customs Union - to 16.82 rubles per 1 thousand cubic meters of gas per 100 kilometers (VAT excluded ). Thus, the increase may be 2%.
