Repair of power generation plant-9 completed at Kostroma state district power station

On June 22, the current repair of power generation plant with capacity of 1200 MW (№ 9) was completed. The original flaw detection of equipment didn’t show serious additional volumes, so all the work were carried out as planned. Now a unique head unit of Kostroma state district power station (GRES)) is in reserve.

On June 20, specialists of Gazprom gas distribution Kostroma, Kostroma GRES and Kostroma branch of Quartz Group (a part of Inter RAO UES) in preparation for the autumn-winter period completed repair work on the high-pressure gas pipelines. During the five days, one day ahead of schedule, a full range of activities was made, including two cranes with a diameter of 800 and 1000 mm were installed. This became possible due to the coordinated work around the clock. The new Russian-made valves were made of modern materials. Therefore, high reliability and security of gas supply to the Kostroma GRES are guaranteed.
