FAS insists on considering the deal on the purchase of Ukrainian oil pipelines of Transneft at the level of the Government

FAS of Russia has confirmed the necessity to agree the deal on the purchase o the Ukrainian oil products pipeline of Transneft by International Trading Partners AG at the Government Committee for foreign investment.

On August 18th 2015 FAS received the application of International Trading Partners AG on the purchase of 100% of voting shares of “South-Western JSC of pipeline transport of oil products”, the Ukrainian affiliate of Transneft.

FAS explained that South-West Transnefteprodukt is included in the registry of objects of natural monopolies in the fuel and energy sector, it is of strategic importance to provide the country’s safety and safety of Russia, and FAS can’t transfer the control over the company easily referring to the law #57-FZ “On order of execution of foreign investment”.
