The Minister of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan U. Karabalin says that the postponement in oil production at Kashagan will not influence it reaching commercial production, i.e. 75,000 barrels, planned for October 2013. Production was postponed on September 25 for 3-4 days due to breakdown at the pipeline. Oil production at Kashagan began on September 11th 2013. Those who participate in the project are Kazmunai Gas, Eni, ExxonMobil, Royal Dutch Shell, Total and Inpex. KMG bought 8.33% in the project from CNPC.
