POL prices in Kazakhstan can increase by 5-7% in October

Kazakhstan forecasts 5-7% increment of internal POL prices due to the reduction of the import of oil products from the RF due to stopping of a number of oil-refining plants, the Minister for Oil and Gas Uzakbai Karabalin claimed on Thursday.

“In October such important suppliers as the Omsk and Ufa plants will be stopped. Thus, we expect some reduction of the import of oil products from Russia. This is temporary; nevertheless, this can somehow affect the prices in Kazakhstan… I cannot say precisely, but there is the forecast stating that the prices of gasoline will increase by 5-7% at most”, the Minister said.
