Russian budget to receive 3 billion rubles from Sakhalin-2 in 2016

In 2016, the Federal budget’s revenues from the sale of natural gas from the Sakhalin-2 project to consumers of the Far Eastern Federal District are estimated at 3.011 billion rubles. The receipt of royalties in implementation of the project on oil production in 2016 is estimated at 792.263 million rubles.

From 2011, by decree of the Government, the operator of the Sakhalin-2 project - Sakhalin Energy - transfers royalty (payments for extraction) for gas in kind. The scheme will be in force until the end of 2017. Gas on behalf of Russia is received by Gazprom, which sells it to consumers of the Far Eastern Federal District and transfers the proceeds, net of transport costs, to the state. In 2014, Sakhalin Energy supplied 1.505 billion cubic meters of gas in the payment of royalty to the Russian side.
