The oil company “Rosneft” is about to increase oil production near the Orinoko river up to 1.7 million barrels a day, the source in the Russian delegation said to Prime agency, following the results of the company’s president I.Sechin visit to Venezuela.
Besides, according to him, the company also plans to consider the possibility of gas shelf development in Venezuela. “In particular, such deposits as Rio Caribe and Meljones are of great interest. But the monetizing of LNG from these projects is only possible if we can observe some terms, which were announced to Venezuela,” the source said.
