Azerbaijani gas may go to Europe via Romania

The construction of Trans Anatolian (TANAP) and Trans Adriatic (TAP) gas pipelines and the introduction of the Azerbaijani gas from the deposit “Shakh Deniz” into the European market will give an impetus to the economic development of Azerbaijan. The head of SOCAR in Romania Kh. Kerimov said.

“Uniting the TAP with the new TANAP, which will be constructed between Azerbaijan and Turkey, and direct transportation of the Azeri gas to the European market since 2019, will enable an economic development of the country and strengthen the position of Azerbaijan as an important energy partner in the world,” he said.
