Sergei Chemezon may lose his seat on Rosneft’s Board of Directors
As the Kommersant has got to know, the Government suddenly didn’t support the renomination of Rostekh’s general director, Sergei Chemezov to the Rosneft’s Board. Sources of the Kommersant note that presence of Chemezov in the Board may be explained by joint projects of Rosneft and Rostekh and the kinship of his views to position of the oil company’s head Igor Sechin. Opposing, the parliament building may pursue an aim to weaken the positions of state-owned companies’ heads and alliances between them.
The Government doesn’t support the nomination of the Rostekh’s general director ,Sergei Chemezov to the Rosneft’s Board of Directors, sources of the Kommersant that are close to the parliament building, told. The Government has sent its proposals to the presidential administration, where candidates should be coordinated. According to the Kommersant’s interlocutors, the parliament building doesn’t want any strengthening of the role of the state-owned companies’ heads.
