Yakutia plans to increase oil extraction to 9.6 mln tons in 2016
In 2015 oil extraction was by 8% higher than in 2014.
Within 5 years, extraction grew by 3 times from 3.4 mln tons in 2010. The oil extraction sector is characterized with a stable and gradual development. The 2 main oil extraction enterprises –Surgutneftegas and Taas-Yuryakh Neftegasdobycha – ship oil to ESPO, the Minister of Industry, of Yakutia, A. Panov, said.
Surgutneftegas develops the Talakan and Alinsky oil and gas condensate deposits.
Taas-Yuryakh Neftegasdobycha develops the Srednebotuobinsky deposit.
By 2018 Surgutneftegas plans to increase production by 14.5% by means of oil extraction from the South-Talakan deposit which is expected to start in 2016. Taas-Yuryakh Neftegasdobycha in 2018 forecasts the oil extraction growth up to 3 mln tons a year by means of construction of the 2nd stage of infrastructure at the Srednebotuobinsky deposit which will start in 2016.
