Gazprom keeps pushing China hoping to sign a contract for gas supply by western route

​The cooperation between Gazprom and China is at the previous level.

The deputy chairman of Gazprom, A. Medvedev, said that the parties discuss the details of the contract on the supply of the Russian gas by the western route.

According to him, the active work is held between Gazprom and China in the framework of a new contract on gas supply by Power of Siberia.

The deputy Minister of Energy, K. Molodtsov, said that the contract for the supply of the Russian gas by the western route to China would be signed in 2016.

The first Vice-President of CNPC, V. Chzhuntsai, said that the company is discussing a number of issues Gazprom, however, the financial part hadn’t been discussed as yet.

CNPC specifies the technical parameters by the gas supply, the price is not discussed.

The western route presupposes the construction of Power of Siberia-2.
