Turkey has prepared construction sites for TANAP gas pipeline in Erzurum

​The Governor of the Erzurum province, A. Altybarmak, said that the preparation of construction sites is over for TANAP project at this territory.

According to the chairman, over 1 thousand workers hold preparation works for the construction of the pipeline.

TANAP will provide safe gas supply from the Caspian region to the European market, he said.

The gas pipeline is meant for pumping of the Azeri gas from the Shakh-Deniz-2 from the border of Georgia-Turkey to the West of Turkey.

The throughput capacity will be at least 16 bln cubic m of gas, 10 bln cubic m of which will be shipped to Europe, 6 bln cubic m to the western regions of Turkey.
