Gazprom is confident that the destruction of the export gas monopoly would harm the state, deputy head of the Russian gas holding company Alexander Medvedev told reporters.
"Because of its structure, Gazprom bears all the burden of investments in the gas transportation system, these are huge investments, about 50% of our investment program. Colleagues of Novatek and Rosneft didn’t and don’t bear these costs and don’t really want to bear them. And if the cost is less, you can sell cheaper,"- he said.
