VEB has issued a warranty to Novatek for the amount of $3 bln for the debt maintenance of Yamal LNG before creditors.
The participation of VEB in the project by means of the warranty issue contributed to the attraction of international financing by Yamal LNG.
In late May it was clear that VEB and Novatek studied an opportunity of attraction of financing for the investment program of Novatek. The co-owner of Novatek, L. Mikhelson, said then that the attraction of investment by VEB for Yamal LNG was not discussed, it was about other projects.
