Fall of domestic ore transportation in Russia takes place because of fall in rolled metal production

In June, the dispatch of ore at the network of Russia Railways fell by 6.5% as compared with the previous year and amounted to 8.7 million tons. Since the beginning of 2015, 54.0 million tons were supplied by railway, which is by 0.4% more than the level of 2014.

In June, the domestic traffic decreased by 3.5% as compared to last year, and export one - by 18.1%. The main drop in exports fell on Japan (Russian ore imports stopped), the Ukraine (-22.8%), China (-8.0%) and the UK (-48.4%).
