The route of Kartaly-Astana gas pipeline under construction can be extended to Karaganda

It is planned to put into operation the Beineu-Bozoi gas pipeline at the second sector of Kazakhstan-China main pipeline in the next few years. To organize the gas supply of Astana, construction of Kostanai-Kokshetau-Astana gas pipeline with the possible extention  to Karaganda is planned, the Chairman of the Board of KazTransGas-Almaty, Akylbai Saparov reported.

As he told, it is also supposed to construct an intraregional gaspipe line Almaty-Taldykorgan. He noted, different gas pipeline projects were discussed.

“To found a network of the main pipelines we can build Astana-Karaganda-Alashankou-Druzhba gas line with simultaneous gas supply from the main line Kazakhstan-China via Taldykorgan. Kostanai-Astana gas line can be connected to the Kumkol deposit and the second sector of Kazakstan-China. Then Kyzylorda, Bozoi, Astana, Beineu and Akbulak could become inner transportation hubs for transshipment of ware gas and Alga and Dombarovka, Alashankou and Druzhba - outer transportation hubs”.
