Nord Stream not to reach the UK
The project on construction of the Nord Stream gas pipeline for energy sources export to the United Kingdom was "rejected". The Times reported on Monday that the reason for that was the deterioration of relations with Moscow.
According to it, two years ago, when the project was first proposed, British officials agreed. "In February of this year, Gazprom and its consortium partners held a feasibility study (of the project), however, the European authorities refused to authorize a project that would have increased the dependence on Russian gas. The staff (of the project) started gradually leave the consortium, as it became clear that it had no chance of being realized,"- the Times notes.
