Gazprom Neft-Muravlenko has started the industrial use of a new reagent at the Surmitorsky deposit

​Gazprom Neft-Muravlenko will apply a new reagent for the preparation of the oilfield water at the industrial scale. Its use has been started at the Surmitorsky deposit.

The Surmitorsky deposit is at the final stage of industrial development which is characterized with the reduction of oil extraction level and a high watering of wells’ products, the head of the department for preparation and oil delivery of Gazprom Neft-Muravlenko, I. Tashbulatov, said. The new reagent – flocculent – has good results and was successfully implemented into industrial operation.

In the process of testing the remaining volume of oil products in the accompanying water production was reduced from 50 to 37.1 mg/cubic dm.

The testing of the reagent was held in the framework of the activity of the regional center on the preparation of oilfield water in complex conditions, founded  on the basis of Gazprom Neft-Muravlenko in 2013.
