Minister of Economics of Yakutia: oil production might increase by one third in 2014

Oil production in Yakutia may increase by 30% in 2014 and make up 9.9 million tons, the Minister of the Economy of Yakutia, O.Fedorova said to ITAR-TASS.

According to her, the oil producing sector is characterized by stable and steady development.

“The two main oil producing enterprises are close to the functioning ESPO pipeline system. Last year oil production assessment made up 7.5 million tons (94.9%) at a planned 7.9 million tons. It was due to the lag of the launch of the supply pipeline from the central block of the Srednebotuobinskoye “NGMK” to “Lensk” of the ESPO transport system,” Fedorova said.

She has also stated Rosneft would produce more than 1 million tons of oil in 2014, according to the preliminary forecast.
