Tengizshevroil increases oil production to record 27 mln tons in 2013

JV “Tengizshevroil”, which develops the deposit Tengiz (Atyrau region) produced about 27 million tons of oil in 2013. The press-service of the Ministry of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan stated that it was its record level of  high production. It made up 24.2 million tons in 2011.

According to the Ministry, the taxes and payment to the state budget exceeded $60 billion over the 20 years of operation ($11 bln. in 2013).

There was signed a memorandum of understanding between Kazakhstan and Tengizshevroil on November 15, 2013. It gave an impetus to a start of the implementation of the project on the expansion of Tengiz. The  signing of a memorandum will enable to create about 20 thousand new workplaces, an increase of Kazakhstan participation in the construction of the facilities and the provision of the gas-chemical complex in Atyrau with raw materials.
