Crimea will be adjusted to South Stream
By May 1st, the Ministry of Energy will elaborate the suggestions on the provision of energy independence of Crimea from the Ukraine. The point became actual when the neighbors rapidly limited electric energy supplies to the peninsula. The Crimea administration claims that the point will be solved within 1.5 months, hoping for the help of the Federal center. The point will be solved with the use of mobile power stations within the first stage, and with the large-scale construction of the generating capacities and development of the electric network facilities in the future. The volume of the investment needed is approximately over 100 billion rubles.
The Minister of Energy A. Novak says that now Crimea builds the sites for the mobile gas turbine power stations. They will re-locate 13 stations, and 4 of them are already at the peninsula. Mr. Novak says that total electric generation capacity of the new Russian territory will be enlarged by 300 MW. Simultaneously, they elaborate the new scheme of energy supplying to Crimea, and the final variant will be presented by May 1. After admission of the plan, they will start construction of the new generating capacities and power lines for provision of energy independence of Crimea.
