The growth of polymer prices hits Tatarstan packaging manufacturers.
Export-oriented petrochemical enterprises of Tatarstan finished Q1 with record sales in the background of the growth in rouble prices for polymers and urgent need of the Russian market in them. At the same time, the increase in commodity prices brought down the small scale production of final products made of polyethylene and polypropylene: in January-March they cut back production by 16%. The President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov asked the government to work out measures to support them.
Export-oriented petrochemical enterprises of Tatarstan finished Q1 "with the growth of output and profits", the head of "Tatneftekhiminvest holding" (TNIH) Rafinat Yarullin stated at the meeting of the Board of Directors of the holding company on April 27.
