Rosneft and Gazprom will pay only 2.6 billion rubles for 5 shelf sites

The Russian Premier D. Medvedev has signed the order about transferring of Morskoy, Nyarmeysky, and Skuratovsky sites at the Kara Sea shelf to Gazprom and Albanovsky and Varneksky sites at the Barents Sea shelf to Rosneft. Total sum of the payment is 2.6 billion rubles.

Their prospected reserves by D1+D2 are 4 trillion cubic m of gas and over 2 billion tons of oil. For comparison, the reserves of the Trebs and Titov deposits were granted to Bashneft for $0.6 per barrel.
