Gazprom and OMV can not to exchange assets because of attitude of Norwegian authorities

The transaction on assets swap between Gazprom and OMV could fail because of the principled position of the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy of Norway, which is strongly opposed to the presence of the Russian company on the Norwegian shelf. This was reported in Norwegian media on June 28, 2016.

According to them, the Norwegian Ministry has a negative attitude to the fact that Gazprom may get a stake in the company - OMV Norge AS, which is engaged in the production of hydrocarbons in the North Sea.
