Tomskneftechem completes modernization of polyethylene production to increase the capacity to 270 thousand tons a year

​Tomskneftechem, Sibur’s affiliate, completes the modernization of polyethylene production.

Tomskneftechem has started the planned repair during which the start-up and commissioning works in the framework of polyethylene production started in 2015 will be completed.

In this connection Tomskneftechem was visited by the representatives of the regional administration headed by the deputy Governor for industrial policy, I. Shaturny.

It is very important that one of the largest enterprises of the region develops and feels confident in the market.

Safe and stable operation of the Tomsk site of Sibur results in work places, salaries, taxes, I. Shaturny said.

The structure of Tomskneftechem comprises the production of monomers – ethylene with the capacity of 300 thousand tons a year and propylene – 139 thousand tons a year.
