Deripaska waits until the growth: RUSAL earns on higher prices for the aluminium.

UC Rusal, the world's largest aluminium producer, made a profit for the first time since the beginning of 2013. Yesterday the company reported about this in the report for Q2 2014. One of the reasons is the rising prices for aluminium, which is recovering from its low point.

In Q2 2014 UC Rusal made $ 116 million of profit, the normalized net has income been $ 129 million. During the same period in 2013, the company had a loss of $ 458 million, and last year's loss of UC Rusal was $ 3.222 billion.

"In Q2 2014 the company has significantly improved its financial results compared to Q1 due to the higher aluminium prices and premiums, as well as the effective management actions to control the costs", - the words of Oleg Deripaska, CEO UC Rusal, are reported in a statement.
