Novak has assessed expenditure of Power of Siberia at $55 bln

​The cost of construction of Power of Siberia taking into account the development of deposits is $55 bln, the Minister of Energy A. Novak said.

This is a large order for our industry, as over 90% of equipment, pipes and all the rest will be ordered at our enterprises. Our metallurgical enterprises have a new order as the construction has started, Novak said.

Previously Gazprom assessed the value of construction of the Power of Siberia at 799.9 bln roubles at the prices of 2011.

Power of Siberia presupposes the transportation of gas from the Yakutia and Irkutsk centers of gas extraction to the Far East of Russia and its export to China. The length of the gas pipeline will be 4 thousand km, its operation will be provided by 8 compressor stations with the total capacity of 1,331 mW.
