Published by the International Energy Agency, a review of the state of global energy proves that since 2016 Europe is importing more gas than it produces.

For the first time in the history of Europe, its self-sufficiency with natural gas fell below the threshold of 50%, which was largely the result of increasing the capacity of gas power plants.
