Gas from burned Caspian well begins to be supplied to Azerbaijani gas production system again

On Friday, specialists of SOCAR and American servicecompany Boots & Coots organized a supply of gas from the Bulla-Deniz field, which burned in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea during over two months, to the country’s gas production system, SOCAR reports.

A fire, which started at the exploratory well №90 in the north-eastern part of the deposit on August 17th during drilling operations at the depth of 5.858 thousand meters, was put out on October 24th. Workers of the platform didn’t suffer and SOCAR reported that the fire extinguishing wasn’t a problem; the main problem was to save the well with great potential.
