Rosneft turned out to be one of the most profitable assets of BP on the results of Q1-Q3 2015. In annual terms its profit fell by 25% only. BP made a loss of $3.17 bln with the profit of $8.18 bln a year earlier.
BP made a profit of $1.075 bln from the ownership of 19.5% of Rosneft’s shares. $271 mln of this amount is dividends, is said in BP’s report. In Q1-Q3 2015 BP received another $330 mln from Rosneft - $1.405 bln.
Unlike Q1 when BP’s profit from Rosneft fell, in Q3 it rose. In July-September BP received $382 mln, while in Q3 2014 – only $110 mln.
