Lukoil will open new oil refineries in Nizhny Novgorod

The President of Lukoil V. Alekperov says that the company is going to launch the catalytic cracking and hydro-cracking projects in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The catalytic cracking project will be launched in 2015. The unique hydro-cracking project will have the capacity of 5 million tons of heavy residue. The project costs 160 billion rubles; it will be launched in 2015-2016, and will be completed in 2019.
The regional Governor V. Shantsev confirms the intent of the administration to continue cooperation with the company until 2018.
