Lukoil plans to produce 7 million tons of oil per year in the Caspian Sea

Lukoil plans to produce more than 7 million tons of oil per year in the Caspian Sea after the launch of the Vladimir Filanovsky field. This was reported by the Astrakhan region’s administration on Tuesday.

"Lukoil has confirmed all its plans in the Caspian Sea. At the same time, with the reaching of the second offshore field n.a. Vladimir Filanovsky its full capacity the company plans to extract more than 7 million tons of Caspian oil per year," - the regional administration specified. The department also noted that last year seven wells were drilled at the first field of Lukoil – n.a. Yuri Korchagin – and now there are 23 wells. "Almost 1.7 million tons of oil were produced at this field, the accumulated volume of the production amounted to more than 5.5 million tons," - the administration added.
