EU is about to extend “South Gas Corridor” route

The European Union plans to extend the gas supply route via the “Southern Gas Corridor” from Azerbaijan further into the continent. Vedomosti writes, citing the spokesman for the European Commision.

“The Southern Gas Corridor” project considers the construction of the TANAP-TAP gas pipeline system from Shah-Deniz via the territory of Georgia, Turkey, Greece, Albania and the south of Italy by 2019. They are about to deliver 6 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey and another 10 billion cubic meters to Europe.
