Attachment has been removed from property and accounts of R. Akhmetov’s oil and gas company

The Court of Appeal of Kiev has removed an attachment from the accounts and property of “Naftogasvydobuvannya” PJSC and has cancelled the ban for natural gas and gas condensate sale, the company’s press service reports.

“This is the 2nd decision for the past month which confirms the illegality of application of these measures in respect of the largest private gas extraction company of the Ukraine”, is reported.

The press service says that the blocking of the legal economic activity of “Naftogasvydobuvannya” is held by the Pechora regional Court of Kiev by the claims of the General prosecutor’s Office of the Ukraine from early April 2015. The basis for the application of interim measures is the criminal case investigated within 3 years and that doesn’t have any relation to the company’s economic activity.

All the decisions of the Pechora Court of Kiev on the arrest of the accounts and property and the ban for gas and condensate sale were cancelled as illegal by the Court of Appeal of Kiev.
