Russia hasn’t yet agreed with Qatar on participation in Yamal LNG

Qatar doesn’t hurry up with concrete proposals on participation in the Yamal LNG project. According to the Vedomosti, the participation in the project was discussed in Moscow, when the Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that Novatek was interested in jointly with Qatar marketing of liquefied natural gas. After the negotiations, clear proposals from Qatar didn’t appear. "The Qatari side expressed its interest in this sector, and we expect them to offer to participate in these projects, given the fact that the total investment by the Emirate reached $9 billion," - said Russian Ambassador in Doha Nurmahmad Kholov.
